This month, we bid farewell to two members of the Gate team: Paige Evans, our General Manager, and Fisola, our Administrative Assistant.
This month, we bid farewell to two members of the Gate team: Paige Evans, our General Manager, and Fisola, our Administrative Assistant.
Paige Evans joined the Gate in 2022 and has helped us steer us through a transformative period. She was a key part of the transition from our Notting Hill site to our new home at 38 Mayton Street. Beyond overseeing operations, Paige spearheaded our Gateways programme, and we’re so delighted to see the fruits of her hard work. She leaves the Gate for a new role as Culture Officer for Merton Council, where she will lead the delivery of their cultural programme. Here’s Paige’s parting words about her time at the Gate.
Paige: “My time at the Gate has been a whirlwind – and I wouldn’t of wanted it any other way! I have learnt so much from our artists and from the team, and it’s been a highlight of my career to say I’ve worked alongside these wonderful humans. Thank you to everyone and of course, see you soon!”
Fisola became part of the Gate team last year, supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies. In her time with us, she has been an integral force behind our communications and played a key role in delivering projects such as Wish You Were Here and our Gateways programme. Her creativity and commitment have left an indelible mark on our projects and team dynamics. We wish her all the very best as she moves on to her new role as Programmes and Communications Assistant at Spread the Word.
Fisola says: “For the past year, I have been lucky to be part of the magic that the small but mighty Gate team creates. I have seen many changes throughout my time here but one thing that stands strong is the commitment to international storytelling made with care, integrity and intention. I have grown so much in my time at the Gate and had the joy of working on our sold-out show ‘Wish You Were Here’ and our debut artist programme – ‘Gateways’. I will continue to do work supporting artists and making work that lives beyond the four walls of the theatre and engages people from all walks of life. For now, it is goodbye Gate, until we meet again. (I will be at the next show!)”
Farewell and thank you!
