Lauren graduated from the North Carolina School of the Arts in 1979, specialising in contemporary dance.  Having been a professional dancer for fifteen years, she moved to London where she changed her focus to a more philanthropic support for the arts. Aside from being a long-term patron for several dance companies, she has served on the Development Working Group for The Gate, as well as gala committees for both The Gate and Sadlers Wells.  Lauren joined The Gate Board in 2014.
