Joe is the Chair of our Board.

As co-owner of Smith & Brant Theatricals, he is the producer of multi award-winning musical Come From Away in the UK, USA, Canada and Australia as well as the West End productions of True West, Bitter Wheat; and national tours of Gaslight, Abigail’s Party, and Ghost Stories.

As Producer of Rocket Stage, he is currently developing new musicals for the theatrical arm of Elton John and David Furnish’s production company, Rocket Entertainment.

As Chief Executive of Stage One, Joe has headed up the charity since 2011 and strongly believes in nurturing and supporting the next generation of commercial producers. He was instrumental in creating the Bridge the Gap programme in 2019, aiming at increasing diversity in the producing industry through training, mentorship and vital financial support.
