Emily Lim – Director
Emily specialises in creating work with non-professional performers. Directing credits include: Brainstorm (National Theatre and Park Theatre, as co-director for Islington Community Theatre); Wuthering Heights (Ambassador's Theatre, for the National Youth Theatre); A Declaration From the People (National Theatre); The Kilburn Passion (Tricycle Theatre) and Henry V (Southwark Playhouse, as winner of the Better Bankside Shakespeare Award).
Staff Directing credits include Rufus Norris’ productions of Behind the Beautiful Forevers and Everyman (National Theatre). She works extensively with marginalised communities and has delivered projects for the Royal Court, Unicorn Theatre, Southwark Playhouse, Chickenshed and Synergy. She is currently an Associate Artist of Islington Community Theatre and Resident Director at the National Theatre, having recently been awarded the inaugural Peter Hall Director Award by the National Theatre Foundation.
