with Lyndsey Turner

13th May 2026, 6:30 – 8:30pm at Marylebone Theatre

Application will open at 10am on 20th April and close at 12pm 4th May

Sharing techniques and insights gathered over a decade of theatre making, Lyndsey Turner’s workshop offers a moment to refresh your working practice with actors. Covering the casting process, the rehearsal room, the management of conflict and the different means of drawing great performances out of actors, the session is suitable for practitioners who are looking to take their skills to the next level.

We’ll use ‘worked examples’ to explore how the choices we make as directors influence outcomes (both good and bad). So feel free to offer up a confusing, complicated or downright chaotic moment from your own experience to use as an ‘anonymous case study’.

This masterclass will take place in person at Marylebone Theatre, 6:30-9:30pm on 13th May 2026.

Please fill in the application form below to submit your interest for joining this workshop.

If you would prefer to submit your application via video recording or voice recording (no longer than 3-5 minutes), please email your application to [email protected]

Please note, applications for this masterclass close on 4th May, midday and we will not be able to accept any applications beyond this point. The Gate team will be in touch to confirm whether your application was successful by 6th May. Please note, if unsuccessful we are unable to offer feedback.

Thanks for your interest. This form is currently closed for submissions.
