Over the last two Saturdays, the Gate Theatre hosted a quartet of workshops inspired by our show The Iphigenia Quartet.
We had an Assistant Director question and answer session, as well as a playwriting workshop with Chris Thorpe on the first Saturday. This was then followed by a session on Creating and Directing Dynamic Space with the Gate’s Artistic Director Christopher Haydon, and a producing workshop with Daisy Cooper.
It was great to spend two Saturdays in a row in a room full of creatives. The energy in these types of sessions is always incredible. Everyone bounces off each other and learns something unexpected. I left every session feeling buzzed and inspired and eager to learn more. Every person that ran a session was incredibly open and honest, which created a wonderful atmosphere within each group. I hope we manage to stay in contact with such a lovely, diverse range of creatives.
Most of the participants found the sessions incredibly rewarding too, if the feedback is anything to go by….
