Paul Hunter: The Way Of The Idiot

This intensive workshop will examine what lies at the heart of Told by an Idiot. Drawing on their repertoire of productions dating back to 1993 and exploring all facets of their work including liberating the performer, approaches to writing, and the importance of spontaneity. The Way Of The Idiot will offer a unique insight into one of Britain's leading theatre companies.
 
Paul Hunter is co-founder and Artistic Director of Told by an Idiot and has been involved in all of their work to date as Director/Devisor/Performer, including: My Perfect Mind (Young Vic & tour), Never Try This At Home (Birmingham Repertory Theatre, Soho Theatre, touring), Get Happy (Barbican), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Svenska Theatre Finland), You Can’t Take It With You (Royal Exchange Manchester), And The Horse You Rode In On (Drum Theatre Plymouth/Barbican/Brighton Festival), The Comedy of Errors (RSC), Six Seeds (National Theatre). Acting credits include:  Much Ado About Nothing, The Mysteries, Troilus And Cressida, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (The Globe), Rapunzel And The Red Shoes (Kneehigh).Directing credits include: Every Last Trick (Northampton Theatre Royal), The Mouse And His Child (RSC), Accidental Death Of An Anarchist (as Associate Director at Octagon Theatre, Bolton), Senora Carrar’s Rifles (Young Vic). Film/TV Credits include: Pirates of the Caribbean (On Stranger Tides), Snow White and the Huntsman, Black Books.

This workshop is £15 for a three-hour session and will take place at the Notting Hill Methodist Church Hall, 240 Lancaster Road, London W11 4AH
