Gate Debate: New Plays: Commissions, Developments and Discoveries
Following the opening of a brand new play at the Gate, In the Night Time (Before the Sun Rises), this Gate Debate will bring together two leading voices in UK theatre.
Nic Wass (Artistic Associate at the Tricycle) and Christopher Campbell (Literary Manager at the Royal Court) will be joining us for a discussion on a variety of topics surrounding new writing. Join us for discussions around how new plays get programmed, where we find our playwrights, trends in new writing, the search for unheard voices, and the process of taking a script from first draft to rehearsals.
This discussion is set to be an intriguing look at this particularly exciting area of theatre and provide an insider perspective.
After the Tuesday 16th February performance of In the Night Time (Before the Sun Rises). Approximately 30 minutes. Tickets are not required.
Please note: Sebastian Born is no longer able to join the debate.
