What is it?
Christopher Haydon, Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre, and director of Grounded will give a practical workshop on directing. Christopher will take participants through pre-rehearsal preparation, rehearsals into productions. Participants will gain an insight into how his award winning production Grounded was planned for and rehearsed.
Who is this for?
As with all Gate Masterclasses, this is an opportunity to get a practical insight into the decisions we make and the challenges we encounter in creating work for the Gate stage. The workshop is specifically aimed at emerging directors keen to develop their approach to text analysis, but is open to anyone curious to find out more about how a script goes from page to stage in the hands of a director.
