Gate Lates
Around every Gate show, we deliver a series of events at which artists, politicians, and thinkers provide artistic, political and expert responses to our work.
Previous Gate Lates have featured Migrants Organise, Dean Atta, Sylvan Oswald and Broderick D.V. Chow as guests.
Visit our Gate Lates page to find out more.

Public Workshops
Have you ever seen a show and wanted to know how it was made? At the Gate we offer a public workshop for every show in our season to give you a deeper insight into the themes or methods involved in making the play. It is a great opportunity to get closer to our artists and well as to a way to develop practical theatre making skills.
You can find out more about upcoming workshops on our Workshops page.

Partnerships
The Gate is keen to work with local charities, especially in our borough. These partnerships are an opportunity for us to share our resources and take our work out of our building, continuing an important dialogue between the Gate and our local community. As we move from Notting Hill to Camden, we are excited by working with organisations from both communities.
Our past partners include: Migrants Organise, SPID Theatre, St Pancras Community Association, Castlehaven Community Centre, and Working Men’s College
If you would like to find out more or are interested in discussing a partnership email hello@gatetheatre.co.uk
At the Gate, we want our theatre to be as accessible, welcoming, and open as possible.
Here you can find out more about the different projects we run alongside our productions, and discover ways you can get more involved. Whether you’re a budding theatre maker yourself or a local with an interest in finding out more about the backstage work that happens here, we hope you find something for you.

Young Associates
Our Young Associates are a company of young writers, performers, directors and dancers aged 17-25. Across a programme of workshops, mentoring sessions and performance opportunities, we work to provide our Young Associates with the practical tools they need to begin their careers as theatre makers.
In the past, our Young Associates have been involved in our productions as well as creating their own work with our local community partners.

Open Rehearsals
Wherever we can, we run an Open Rehearsal for each show we make. It’s free, and you can sign up via our website – they’ll be posted on our homepage whenever they are available.

Community Workshops
Alongside our productions, The Gate runs a vibrant program of workshops with various community partners. The aim of these sessions is to provide participants with inspiration, encouragement and support they need to develop an enduring passion for the performing arts.
