Around every Gate show, we deliver a series of events at which artists, politicians, and thinkers provide artistic, political and expert responses to our work on a ‘pay what you can’ basis. Visit our Gate Lates page to find out more.
Young People’s Nights
If you’re under 26 why not take advantage of our Young People’s Nights with tickets at only £7.50.
There is a chance to meet the cast after the show, hear more about how the production was made, and ask questions you have about your own work too, as well as meeting other young people interested in making theatre.
Please check back for upcoming Young People’s Nights.
The Gate works with a number of brilliant, local charities in our borough. These partnerships are an opportunity for us to share our resources and take our work out of our building, continuing an important dialogue between the Gate and our community.
If you would like to find out more or are interested in discussing a partnership email our Projects and Community Officer, Valerie on firstname.lastname@example.org
At the Gate, we want our theatre to be as accessible, welcoming, and open as possible.
Here you can find out more about the different projects we run alongside our productions, and discover ways you can get more involved. Whether you’re a budding theatre maker yourself or a local with an interest in finding out more about the backstage work that happens here, we hope you find something for you.
Have you ever seen a show and wanted to know how it was made? At the Gate we offer a public workshop for every show in our season to give you a deeper insight into the themes or methods involved in making the play. It is a great opportunity to get closer to our artists and well as to a way to develop practical theatre making skills.
Check back after our 40th Anniversary Season announcement to find out what new workshops we are holding and how to book your place.
Our Young Associates are a company of 15 young writers, performers, directors and dancers aged 17-23. Across a year-long programme of workshops, mentoring sessions and performance opportunities, we work to provide our Young Associates with the practical tools they need to begin their careers as theatre makers.
If you are interested in joining us or want to find out more visit our Young Associates page.
The Gate works extensively in partnership with the Harrow Club to deliver a vibrant programme of workshops in the community throughout the year. The aim of these sessions is to provide young people with inspiration, encouragement and support they need to develop an enduring passion for the performing arts. Visit the Open Gate Projects page to find out more about this project.
