As a teaching theatre, the Gate is committed to providing emerging artists, curious audience members of all ages, and local organisations with opportunities to discover more about the world-changing power of theatre, and to make these opportunities as accessible as possible.
Through Gate Educate we invite our audiences to engage with our work on a variety of levels. Through practical workshops, invigorating Gate Debates, support for emerging artists, and engagement with local communities; Gate Educate seeks to inspire, inform and illuminate.
Online, our 'Open Gate' blog serves as both a toolkit for theatre-makers, and a platform for discussion and discovery inspired by the themes on our stage. There are plenty of ways for artists, educators and audience members from across the globe to get involved digitally with the Gate's work - delve in for our blog posts, videos, podcasts, and tips from established artists: Open Gate Blog.
The Gate's Community Arts Outreach is kindly supported by the People's Postcode Lottery.
