TEMITOPE AJOSE-CUTTING Performer
Bonnie Bird Choreography Award winner (2005) Temitope Ajose Cutting is a collaborative choreographer working in London. Over the last five years, Temitope and her company have performed their works in many venues and festivals both in the UK and internationally. Performances include: Summer Collection (Royal Opera House); Touchwood (The Place); a residency at Edinburgh’s DanceBase, The Big Mission (DanceXchange 2006 and Swindon 2008); Woking Dance Festival and Decibel 2007. Her company enjoyed a two-week residency in New York, which resulted in sell out shows at the Joyce Soho, New York. Temitope was commissioned for the Place Prize 2008 and went on to perform her commission at Firsts (ROH2). Temitope has recently come back from Israel where she was working with leading Israeli choreographer Yasmeen Godder.

Lucy is the recipient of the Knight of Illumination for Dance Award 2008 for Chroma. CARRIE CRACKNELL Direction
Carrie Cracknell is Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre and Associate Director at the Young Vic Theatre. For the Gate credits include: Hedda, Shoot/Get Treasure/Repeat, I Am Falling (Gate/Sadler’s Wells), The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents. Other credits include: Dolls (National Theatre of Scotland); Stacy (The Tron); A Mobile Thriller (Bristol Old Vic, The Traverse, BAC and The Harbourfront, Toronto); Broken Road (British Council Showcase, BAC); Death and The City (The Tron); The Hush (BAC and The Ohio Theatre, New York). Carrie will direct a version of Electra at the Young Vic later this year.

MARY ERSKINE Performer
Mary graduated from Oxford with a degree in French and Italian and is now working as a musician in London. A classically trained pianist since the age of 4 and cellist since the age of 8, Mary is currently preparing for a Performance Diploma on the piano while teaching privately in London. Having performed widely as a solo pianist, Mary is now singer/keyboardist with London-based electronica/pop collective The Shadow Orchestra, as well as appearing as Me For Queen.

Bryony trained at RADA. Theatre credits include: The Winter’s Tale (Headlong); Every Good Boy Deserves Favour, War Horse, The Pillowman (National Theatre); The Tempest (Gdansk Shakespeare Festival); The 24 Hour Plays (Old Vic); The Crucible (Sheffield Crucible); Ignition 2 (Royal Court); Norway Today (BAC); The Children’s Hour, Pippin (Union); The Black Sheep (Gilded Balloon, Edinburgh). Television and film credits include: Reversals, Cemetery Junction.


BRENDAN HUGHES Performer
Brendan trained at the New College of Speech and Drama and the London School of Contemporary Dance. Credits for the Gate include: The Internationalist, The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents. Other theatre credits include: As You Like It, A New World (Shakespeare’s Globe); The Winter’s Tale, Romeo and Juliet (Shakespeare’s Globe Touring); Messiah (Old Vic/European Tour); Misery (The New Vic, Stoke); The Owl Service (The Drum Theatre, Plymouth); Cider With Rosie, Voices From the Great War, How The Other Half Loves (Nottingham Playhouse); The Tempest , Fireside Tales (Liverpool Everyman); Saved, The Glass Menagerie (Dixon Studios); Not Quite Jerusalem, Dancing at Lughnasa, West Side Story, Lark Rise (Palace Theatre Westcliff); Deathwatch (Clwyd Theatre Cymru); The Influence of Moons on Tides for Moving Being , An Actor’s Revenge (ENO). EDWARD LEWIS Sound
Edward studied Music at Oxford University and subsequently trained as a composer and sound designer at the Bournemouth Media School. Credits for the Gate include: I Am Falling (Gate/Sadler’s Wells), Hedda. Other recent theatre composition and sound design credits include: Darker Shores, Amongst Friends, On the Rocks (Hampstead Theatre); The Company Project, Meetings, Le Mariage (Arcola); Knives In Hens (BAC); Mad, Funny, Just, Mimi and the Stalker (Theatre503); The London Plays (Old Red Lion Theatre); Diary of a Madman (Rosemary Branch Theatre); Bloody Poetry, Madman's Confession (White Bear); Full Circle (Oval House Theatre). Films he has recently worked on have won several awards at the LA International Film Festival and Filmstock International Film Festival. He also works as a conductor and music critic.


ÉVA MAGYAR Performer
Éva trained at the Budapest Drama and Film Academy. Throughout her career, Éva has directed and choreographed many pieces as well as performing in them. Previous credits for the Gate include: The Sexual Neuroses of Our Parents. Other British theatre credits include: Tristan And Yseult (National Theatre); The Bacchae (Kneehigh Theatre Company); The Party (BAC); Ramayana (Lyric Theatre, Hammersmith); Romeo and Juliet (Royal Shakespeare Company). Film credits include: A Matter Of Life, The Understudy, The Death of Pentheus (Methodact Ltd). Radio credits include Something Wrong About The Mouth (BBC).In her native Hungary, theatre credits include: Majesty’s Waiter, I Was His, Pinocchio, Othello, 3:1 To Love, Winnie The Pooh, The Groom, Animal Farm, Fiddler On The Roof, Soiree, The Tale, Milan Fust: The Love Of Amine, Dissimulators, Rowdies, Rockaby, The Quest-Csongor and Tunde, Vita Nuova, Prologue, House Of Deer, The Big Hoo-Haa, Eating Drinking And Telling Lies, Henry V, House Of Deer, Silent Theatre, Twelfth Night, Paralellepipedon, Emma Agi Zsolt. Éva runs her own company, The Shamans, which is highly acclaimed in Hungary and internationally, winning numerous awards including Best Actress (Poland), Best Director (Cairo), The Independent Award (California), The Herald Angel (Edinburgh).

JANE MASON Choreography
Jane trained in theatre at Bretton Hall University in the early 90’s. Since 1997 she has worked as an independent choreographer and performer creating her own work for live performance (Desert, The Brow, Come on Sun) and more recently for film (Andout, Hard Told). She danced for Random Dance (1994-97) before working freelance for other choreographers (Charles Linehan, Wendy Houstoun, Emilyn Claid) and most recently in Grope and Find it and Pull it Out for Deborah Hay. She regularly choreographs in collaborations with directors for theatre productions, credits include: SUSAN and DARREN, Old People, Children and Animals (Quarantine); Mr Kolpert (Royal Court); Song of Songs (Weeding Cane). She recently choreographed Lone Twin’s Street Dance and will perform for Probe in the Spring.

TOM MILLS Music
Tom is a musician, composer and producer based in London. For the Gate credits include: The Kreutzer Sonata, Unbroken. Credits as a musical director and composer include: The Jungle Book, The Grimm Brothers' Circus, Metropolis (The Egg, Bath). As composer and/or sound designer: The Eternal Not (National Theatre); Edward Gant's Amazing Feats of Loneliness (Headlong); Othello (Assembly Rooms, Bath); Assassins (Eyebrow Productions). As an actor/musician: The Good Person of Szechwan, The Berlin Cabaret (Theatre Royal, Bath). As musical director: Return to the Forbidden Planet (Bath Spa Music Society); Band of Blues Brothers (Panthelion Productions). Tom works as a session musician on bass guitar and double bass playing with Passenger among other artists. As a producer he works out of his home studio in South London and is currently working on an album with solo artist Katy Unltd.

HOLLY WADDINGTON Design
Holly studied Fine Art at Oxford University and Scenography at Laban. She has worked as a costumier in the film industry, costume designer in theatre and more recently as a designer for performance. She was a finalist in 2007 Linbury Prize for theatre design. For the Gate credits include: Hedda. Other theatre/dance credits include: The Life and Times of Girl A (Ben Duke/Scottish Dance Theatre); Meltdown (Rambert); Les Miserables (Pimlico Opera/Wandsworth Prison); Chicago (Pimlico Opera/ Bronzefield Prison); Friducha , Exquisite Corpse (Laban). Film credits include; as assistant costume designer: Mike Leigh's current film (not yet titled), Cosi (Chris Menaul), Glorious 39 (Stephen Poliakoff), The Other Man (Richard Eyre), Happy Go Lucky (Mike Leigh); as costume researcher: Clash of the Titans (Louis Leterrier).

JENNY WORTON Dramaturgy
Jenny Worton is the Artistic Associate at the Almeida Theatre. She was previously the Literary Manager at the Tricycle Theatre, and worked in the Literary Departments for the Bush Theatre and the National Theatre. In a freelance capacity she has worked for Out Of Joint Theatre Company, the Young Vic and the National Student Drama Festival. For the Gate Theatre Jenny wrote the text for I Am Falling, revived at the Lilian Baylis Theatre, Sadler’s Wells and nominated for a South Bank Show Award. Also with director Carrie Cracknell, she adapted Takeshi Kitano’s film Dolls for the National Theatre of Scotland and Hush Productions. For Radio Four, Jenny has written short stories, Demonstrating Grace and A Hallowed Space.
