ASSISTED PERFORMANCES
We programme audio described and captioned performances for selected productions. The following assisted performances are currently on sale:
Audio Described Performances 2011

THE KREUTZER SONATA Saturday 28 January at 3pm
A TOUCH TOUR takes place at 2pm on the above dates. It is included in the cost of your ticket. Please inform the Box Office when you book if you would like to attend.
Captioned Performances 2011
YERMA Thursday 15 December at 7.30pm
THE KREUTZER SONATA Tuesday 7 February at 7.30pm
A free CAPTIONED TALKBACK with the cast takes place post-show on the above dates.
Audio Description Live verbal commentary of the visual elements of a performance. Delivered via personal headphones for blind or partially-sighted patrons.
Touch Tour An opportunity to explore the set and costumes before a show to enhance the experience for blind or partially sighted patrons.
Captioning Converts the spoken word into English text displayed on a unit for deaf or hard of hearing patrons. Also suitable for people for whom English is not their first language.
VENUE DETAILS
A hearing loop is available in the theatre auditorium and the Box Office.
Guide and hearing dogs are welcome at the Gate. To arrange this free service, please request it when booking tickets.
Large print programmes are available for every production so please request one with Box Office when you make your booking.
Seating at the Gate is unreserved. If you require a particular seat in the auditorium, please let us know when booking and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
The Gate Theatre is on the first floor above the Prince Albert pub. From street level there are twenty steps up to the foyer and there is no lift. Unfortunately the theatre is not wheelchair accessible.

The Box Office is not open for in-person bookings. A Box Office Assistant is available in the theatre an hour before each performance for ticket collection and bookings for that performance only.
