It's the Gate's 30th birthday this year.
We’ve invited people across London, across Britain, and across the world to take a photo of a red balloon

somewhere you live or somewhere you love

Anywhere or Anyhow

With you or Without you

and send it to us.

On 10 February 2009 we mounted our first exhibition of photographs. We received photos from all sorts of people locally and further afield. We’ve been so impressed by the outcome, they’re witty and touching, beautiful and strange. And they all have one thing in common…the red balloon.

We’d love to receive photos from every borough of London, every county of Britain and every country in the world.

So if you write to us, or email us on gate@gatetheatre.co.uk and give us your address we’ll send you a balloon.

And we'll create an exhibition of your photographs.
